📰 Italian newspaper says it has published world’s first AI-generated edition - LINK

An Italian newspaper, Il Foglio, has published the world’s first AI-generated edition. The 4-page special section, called Il Foglio AI, was fully written and assembled by artificial intelligence. This test was meant to explore how AI might work in real-world journalism.
AI wrote every article, chose the headlines, and even created a fake “letters to the editor” section. Topics included everything from politics to global issues, with no human writing involved. Journalists only gave prompts and reviewed what AI produced.
Editor Claudio Cerasa said this experiment was about understanding AI's potential in newsrooms. It’s part of a bigger conversation about how AI may reshape news in the coming years.

💻 'Vibe coding' lets 10 engineers do the work of a team of 50 to 100, says CEO of Silicon Valley incubator - LINK

Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan is seeing a shift called “vibe coding”. It means developers use AI tools like large language models to build software faster. Now, tiny teams of 10 can do the work of 100.
These tools help write and fix code without much human effort. This makes it possible for small startups to earn millions, even without large teams. Solo founders now have a real shot at building successful businesses.
Though AI still struggles with debugging, the gains are huge. It’s changing how software companies are built and who gets to compete in the tech world.

🔒 Google plans to buy cybersecurity company Wiz for $32 billion - LINK

Google is buying cloud security firm Wiz for $32 billion. It’s the biggest deal in Google’s history. This move boosts Google’s cloud security game as it battles Amazon and Microsoft in the cloud market.
Wiz was founded in 2020 and already brings in $500 million in yearly revenue. Its software helps companies find security holes in their cloud systems. Google wants to use Wiz’s tools to protect its cloud customers better.
Analysts think the deal will be approved. With more cyber threats rising, security is a top priority for big tech companies like Google.

🎨 AI-generated art cannot receive copyrights, US court says - LINK

A U.S. court ruled that art made only by AI can’t be copyrighted. The judges said that only humans can hold copyright under current U.S. law.
This case came from Stephen Thaler, who wanted rights for an image made by his AI system, DABUS. But the court said “human authorship” is required, even if the AI did all the work.
Thaler plans to appeal. But for now, if AI makes the art with no human help, it has no legal copyright in the U.S.

🖼️ xAI launches an API for generating images - LINK

Elon Musk’s AI company xAI has launched an API that makes images from text prompts. The tool is called “grok-2-image-1212”, and it can make 10 images per request at a cost of $0.07 per image.
Developers can use it to add image generation to their apps. But users can’t yet control size, style, or quality, and a “chat model” may change the prompt before making the picture.
This shows how AI is moving into creative industries like design and marketing. More tools like this could mean faster, cheaper content creation.
